Подовження проектів

Якщо реалізація дослідницького проекту буде затримуватися через війну в Україні, можна подати запит на продовження на строк до 12 місяців. Це також стосується тих випадків, коли членам команди доводиться відкладати свою роботу, щоб мати можливість допомогти близьким людям, які постраждали від війни.

Докторантура

Докторанти, робота яких може бути відкладена через війну в Україні, можуть подати заявку на продовження на 12 місяців понад звичайні чотири роки фінансування докторантури SNSF.

Додаткове фінансування для працевлаштування дослідників з України

Якщо швейцарські дослідники наймають або збираються наймати колег з України як членів своєї команди для проекту, що фінансується SNSF, то можна попросити додаткове фінансування для покриття їх зарплати на термін до 12 місяців. Цим заходом SNSF має на меті підтримати дослідників з України, які безпосередньо постраждали від війни.

Один мільйон для українських дослідників від Scholars at Risk

Measures for researchers from Ukraine

The SNSF is making available 1 million francs to host researchers from Ukraine at universities in Switzerland through Scholars at Risk. We are also supporting them with the following additional measures.

Flexibility for ongoing projects and doctoral studies

Project extensions

If a research project might experience delays because of the war in Ukraine, a re-quest for an extension of up to 12 months can be made. This also applies if team members have to postpone their work so as to be able to help people close to them who are affected by the war.

Doctoral studies

Doctoral students whose work might be delayed because of the war in Ukraine can apply for an extension of up to 12 months beyond the usual four years of SNSF funding for doctoral studies.

Additional contributions for employing researchers from Ukraine

If you are hiring or intending to hire researchers from Ukraine as members of your team for an SNSF-funded project, you can request additional funding to cover their salaries for up to 12 months. Note that the usual SNSF salary brackets apply (also for doctoral students). With this measure, the SNSF aims to support researchers from Ukraine who are directly affected by the war.

One Million for Scholars at Risk

In collaboration with Scholars at Risk Switzerland, a sum of 1 million francs will enable universities to host a first wave of researchers requesting support. This will allow them to pursue their academic work at institutions in Switzerland. Additional sums may be allocated if the need arises.

Scholars at Risk SAR: global network and Swiss section

The organisation Scholars at Risk, based in New York, does provide support for scholars at threat (usually with a PhD) by arranging placements in its global network of more than 500 higher education institutions in 42 countries. Qualifying for SAR support requires a successful outcome of your application to SAR in New York (SAR website). A key element in the application is a suitable arrangement at a hosting institution.
