The University of Arizona supports Igor Sikorsky KPI
The second working meeting of representatives of the Arizona State University (ASU) and the administration of Kyiv Polytechnic took place.
ASU Vice President for Global Academic Initiatives Julia Rosen and the President of the American University in Kyiv Roman Sheremeta talked about the following.
- capacity building for innovative, asynchronous and / or hybrid digital teaching and learning to empower students and teachers through distance learning;
- supply of laptops, other equipment for computer laboratories, teachers and students and replacement of laboratory equipment damaged during the war;
- assistance in business activities, such as support for start-up companies, incubators and technology transfer.
The parties agreed on the need for a next meeting to further discuss issues. It was agreed that after receiving from Igor Sikorsky KPI a detailed list of priority needs for budgeting, ASU and partners on the basis of this information will prepare a specific proposal to support our university.
For reference, since the start of the full-scale war, the University of Arizona together with the American University in Kyiv agreed to support Kyiv Polytechnic in the problems and challenges caused by the war.
