Visit of Minister of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology of Japan to UAJC KPI
On July 29, Minister of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology of Japan Mr. Masahito Moriyama with delegation visited Ukraine-Japan Center of Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute.
During the visit, the delegation toured the Ukrainian-Japanese Center and got acquainted with its activities, visited the ikebana exhibition and the only operating tea room in Ukraine, greeted students in the Ukrainian-Japanese Center’s virtual space.
The Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Japan to Ukraine, Mr. Kuninori Matsuda was also present at this visit as well as the Deputy Director General of the International Cooperation Directorate of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, Stella Shapoval, and the rector of Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute Anatolii Melnychenko.
Ukraine-Japan Center of Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute has been a place where cultural cooperation and mutual understanding between Ukraine and Japan are being comprehensively and relentlessly developed for a long time – and Mr. Moriyama’s visit became another important event for both the university and Ukraine.
Mr. Moriyama noted that support for education in Ukraine is now extremely important and Japan will work to ensure that this support is implemented in various educational projects. And this visit once again confirms such intentions.
